Banff Wedding | Helicopter Elopement

During the fall I had the opportunity to document Heidi and Brian’s Elopement Wedding in Banff. They choose to have a Destination Wedding and picked Banff as the location so they could really see the Rocky Mountains. The day started off with getting ready in Canmore and then we proceeded into Banff National Park and up the Icefields Parkway. We documented some of their wedding images at Bow Lake and Peyto Lake, but the highlight of the day was to take the helicopter to the top of a mountain and shoot the rest of the images above the alpine. Once we were at the top, they read their vows to each other and then requested a first dance. We pulled out the iphone and speakers, hit play, and they proceeded to have their first dance on top of a mountain. How cool is that!!

Here are a couple from their day that I particularly liked.  I think they showcase the beauty and remoteness of  having a helicopter elopement wedding in the Canadian Rockies.
