National Parks Pass
The Workshop does not include Park Pass fees. If you plan to attend Day 3 of the Workshop, please make sure to bring your 2018 National Parks Pass or money to pay the park entrance fee to get to our workshop. Passes can be purchased upon arriving at the gate to Banff National Park. Passes can also be ordered online here: https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np
Payment & Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 50% of your total is due at sign-up. The remainder of your payment is due on or before May 1, 2018. Failure to finalize your full payment within this schedule may result in the forfeit of your deposit and your spot in the workshop. Cancellation for any reason following May 1, 2018 will result in a 100% loss of all monies paid unless you find someone else to take over your spot in the workshop—including medical, employment, or home emergencies. Should we, for unforeseen reasons, need to cancel a workshop, you will be refunded the full amount paid. However, we cannot be held liable for any fees you might incur for airline ticket cancellations so please make sure to purchase travel insurance if you are flying to attend one of our workshops.
The DRP Workshop does not share our customers’ information with any 3rd party agencies for any purpose.
The information learned in The DRP Workshop is a result of the many hours spent by Darren Roberts in learning and studying the art of photography & business. No audio or video recording of the workshop is permitted. In addition, it is strictly prohibited to share copies of any materials obtained from The DRP Workshop, including, but not limited to, contracts, educational supplements, notes, or pricing structures. Information obtained from The DRP Workshop cannot be shared with anyone for personal or business use, in writing or verbally.
Limit of Expertise
Darren Roberts does not claim to know and understand everything about photography, camera equipment, lighting, marketing, branding, business, or accounting. The information being shared is based solely on Darren’s own learning and experiences.
Image Rights & Credit
All photos taken at The DRP Workshop are the intellectual property of the individual who took them. We encourage mentioning our workshop when the images are shared but it is not required. More importantly, we highly encourage crediting the vendors involved in our styled shoots when posting on social media outlets (blogs, facebook, etc.).
Attendees are solely responsible for any valuables (including camera equipment & laptops) they choose to bring to the workshop. Darren Roberts & Darren Roberts Photography are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items, or any belongings left at the workshop.
Alcohol and Drug Policy
Alcohol will not be provided as a part of the included meals for the workshop. Attendees found possessing or using drugs that are illegal in the province of Alberta, Canada, will be required to leave the workshop premises immediately and may be held criminally liable.
Inclusivity & “Safe Space” Policy
Darren Roberts reserves the right to immediately expel attendees from the workshop due to unlawful and/or unacceptable behavior. Examples of inappropriate behavior that may warrant consequences to the individual include, but are not limited to:
- Sexual assault
- Harassment of any kind
- Displays of sexism, homophobia, racism, and all forms of bigotry
- Physical violence
- Purchase, sale, possession, or consumption of illicit substances (as defined by Alberta & Canadian Laws)
- Possession and/or displays of weapons
- Theft and vandalism
Without expectation of compensation or other remuneration now or in the future, I hereby give my consent, by registering, to Darren Roberts & Darren Roberts Photography and their affiliates and agents to use my image and likeness and/or any interview statements from me in its publications, advertising or other media activities (including the Internet). This consent includes, but is not limited to: Permission to interview, film, photograph, tape, or otherwise make a video reproduction of me and/or record my voice; Permission to use my name; and Permission to use quotes from the interview(s) (or excerpts of such quotes), the film, photograph(s), tape(s) or reproduction(s) of me, and/or recording of my voice, in part or in whole, in its publications, in newspapers, magazines and other print media, on television, radio and electronic media (including the Internet), in theatrical media and/or in mailings for educational and awareness. This consent is given in perpetuity, and does not require prior approval by me.
A Liability Release will need to be signed prior to participation in the workshop on behalf of Darren Roberts Photography and Rockies Heli Canada.
By continuing to complete your registration, you will need to agree to the above terms and conditions. Your paid, non-refundable deposit guarantees your seat at the workshop; however, a signed contract will be required prior to participation in the workshop.
